The LootLocker DLC feature lets you create and manage downloadable content linked to first-party platforms like Steam, Xbox, and PlayStation. You define groups of Assets that unlock through a platform's DLC system, so LootLocker can verify entitlement and gate content access without you building that logic yourself.
DLCs are created both on the first-party platform and in the LootLocker Web Console, where they're linked together using a unique DLC identifier from the platform. When a player starts your game, the game client checks the player's first-party account for new DLC and, if entitled, automatically migrates the content into their inventory.
Use Cases
- Cross-platform DLC
- Grant players DLC remotely
- Manage DLC content outside of first-party platform services
