Understanding Leaderboards

This page explains the two Leaderboard types and how scheduled resets and Rewards work together.

Leaderboard Types

Leaderboards operate in two modes:

  • Player Leaderboards: each score is tied directly to a player, for traditional player rankings.
  • Generic Leaderboards: scores link to custom keys you define, letting you rank items beyond individual players, such as UGC, teams, or any other entity.

Scheduled Resets & Rewards

Player Leaderboards support scheduled resets, so you can reset scores on a recurring schedule and automatically reward players who place within a given timeframe. See Use Scheduled Reset with Rewards for setup steps.
